Profile
The Department of Forestry was established in the year 2023 offering B.Sc. Forestry and M.Sc. Forestry (Wildlife Management) programmes, and every year thirty (15 +15) students are admitted in B.Sc. programme and 20 (10+10) students are admitted in M.Sc. Programme. The syllabus of B.Sc. is mainly based on various aspects of forestry such as silviculture, forest ecology, forest protection, forest management, forest economics, forest mensuration, wildlife, wood preservation, wood degradation, wood physics etc. The major focus areas in M.Sc. syllabus are wildlife science, dendrology, forest ecology, plantation forestry, etc.

- Eligibility- A bachelor’s degree in Life Science related subjects (Core) such as Forestry, Botany, Plant Science, Zoology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Veterinary Science, Agriculture allied subjects, or any other degrees recognized as equivalent thereof, from a recognized university with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade.
