Wildlife Week 2023, under the theme of “Partnerships for Wildlife Conservation” reminds us that the survival of our planet’s diverse wildlife depends on our collective efforts. In a world where every species plays a vital role, it’s our responsibility to forge partnerships that transcend boundaries, ideologies, and backgrounds. Together, we can protect the incredible biodiversity that enriches our lives and sustains our ecosystems.
As a part of Wildlife Week 2023, Department of Forestry, MVRILSRS in collaboration with MVR Snake Park and Zoo celebrates wildlife week 2023 with an inaugural ceremony on 3rd October 2023. Dr. Geethananthan. K. (Principal) did the welcome speech; Prof. E. Kunhiraman (Chairman, MVRILSRS) gave the presidential address, Mr. Ratheesh. P. (Range Forest Officer, Taliparamba) did the inauguration; Mr. Anandan Pokkudan (Head Master, Tagore Vidya Niketan, Taliparamba) was the chief guest. Dr. Muhammad Ramees. K. (Veterinary Officer, MVR Snake Park and Zoo) and Dr. Sangeeth. K. P. (Vice-Principal, MVRILSRS) gave the felicitation for the program. Prize distribution for the winners of the photography competition held at MVR Snake Park and Zoo were held. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Anusree Pradeepan (Assistant Professor, Department of Forestry). Afternoon session was a seminar on the topic “Nippayum Vavvalukalum” by Mr. Nithin Divakar (PhD Research Scholar, KFRI).
